Fred writing, founder of The Razor. I visited Vegas a bunch of times, mostly as a Musclemania professional bodybuilder, and honestly didn't really like the city all that much. My first impressions were that unless you're into gambling, hookers or drugs; this isn't the place for you.
If you had told me that a decade after my first pro show at the Golden Nugget, I'd be living in Sin City with my beautiful wife, dogs and newborn son, I would have laughed at you! What changed my mind? The People.
As my client and buddy Dan explained to me, Vegas is like a donut; plain on the outside, with jelly in the middle. It cracked me up, but I get it now. The city is literally designed with the Casinos and entertainment district in the middle, surrounded by good ole neighborhoods filled with great people, who are more concerned about serving God, Country and Family, than hitting the progressive jackpot at the Silver Sevens.
